About

The Northern operator who tells you the truth about money, markets & Nigerian business.

In plain language. With receipts. From Kaduna.

Abbati
Kaduna, Nigeria

I live the economy I analyze.

I'm Abbati. I run a retail business in Kaduna — which means every MPC decision, every fuel price move, every swing in the naira shows up on my shelves before it shows up in anyone's headline. When I tell you what inflation is doing to Nigerian businesses, I'm not quoting a report. I'm reading my own books.

That's one half of the stack. The other half: an MBA in Finance & Investment on top of a Mechanical Engineering degree from Ahmadu Bello University — so I think in systems, and I check the numbers before I open my mouth.

Here's what I kept seeing: smart, hardworking Northern professionals earning real salaries — who were never told what a T-bill is, why inflation quietly eats their pay, or how to start investing. SME owners running businesses through reforms and rate hikes with no one translating policy into street level. That gap is not an accident, and it's not acceptable.

So this is the work: say what's actually happening to money in this country, simply, with sources — and build the platforms that close the gap. Nasr for knowledge and courses. Lisafi for SME owners who need to know their real numbers. And when the consensus is wrong, say so loudly — and show why.

Why you can take
my word — or check it.

Retail Operator

I run a real shop in Kaduna. The economy I analyze is the one paying my rent.

MBA, Finance & Investment

The formal grounding behind the plain-language takes.

Founder: Nasr & Lisafi

A knowledge & courses platform, and a retail business management system for SMEs.

Engineering Degree

Mechanical Engineering, ABU Zaria. I think in systems, not vibes.

The five topics I own.

If it doesn't fit one of these, I don't publish it.

01
Monetary policy & the naira

MPC decisions, FX, inflation — translated to street level. What it means for your salary and your prices.

02
Investing literacy

Basics to intermediate, Nigeria-specific: T-bills, bonds, NGX, funds. The deep material lives on Nasr.

03
SME finance & retail economics

Pricing, credit, cash flow — ground truth from my own shop, this week, not theory from a slide deck.

04
Consumer protection

Exposing predatory loan apps, ponzi waves, and bad financial products before they take your money.

05
Northern economic development

The gap, the opportunity, and the path. Anchored in the North, aimed at the national conversation.

Written for three
kinds of people.

Northern professionals & salary earners

You were locked out of financial literacy. Nobody told you what T-bills are, why inflation eats your salary, or how to start investing. That ends here.

SME owners & traders

You're running a business through reforms, rate hikes, and a volatile naira. You need policy translated into pricing, credit, and cash-flow decisions.

Young Northerners

You want a credible local example of modern business success — not imported playbooks that ignore where you're standing.

What I am not.

Not a stock tipster or signals seller.

Education and analysis — never personalized investment advice. That's a regulatory line, and it's non-negotiable.

Not partisan.

Policies get attacked on the merits. Parties and persons don't get smeared. Ever.

Not a motivational speaker.

Every claim carries a number or a source. If I can't back it, I don't say it — and when I miss, I correct it loudly within 24 hours.

Now you know who's writing.
